Accepted data formats

The Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as "the Office") accepts the data formats listed below, which may be delivered to the Office via electronic submissions or via CDs and DVDs that are sealed for further recording of data.

Text formats:

• Portable Document Format (PDF), minimum version 1.3 and maximum version 2.0
• TXT (Plain Text Format) in UTF-8 encoding
• ODT (Open Document Format), maximum version 1.2 according to the Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS)
• DOCX (Office Open XML)
• XLSX (Excel Open XML)
• CSV (Comma Separated Values)

Graphic files:

• GIF (Graphics Interchange Format)
• PNG (Portable Network Graphics)
• JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)
• TIF (Tagged Image File Format)
• SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)

Audio and video files

• MP4 (Moving Picture Experts Group)
• OGGWAV (Waveform Audio File Format with content encoded using Linear Pulse Code Modulation)
• AIF (Audio Interchange File Format with content encoded using Linear Pulse Code Modulation)
• MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer III)

File compression formats

• ZIP version 2.0
