Slovak Business Agency (SBA)
The SBA is the key and oldest specialised institution in the Slovak Republic in terms of support for small and medium-sized businesses. It was established in 1993 as a joint initiative of the EU and the Slovak Government. It is a unique platform for the public and private sector.The SBA wants to be the first choice of Slovak companies in the establishment and development of their business. Its mission is to provide comprehensive assistance to entrepreneurs in line with the principles of the Small Business Act and to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs at national, regional and local level, as well as to strengthen the competitiveness of entrepreneurs within the EU common market and in third country markets. In particular, the SBA aims to increase the survival rate of enterprises on the market, increase employment in the private sector, increase the innovation performance of Slovak enterprises, stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit, prevent the marginalisation of enterprises and increase the competitiveness of the Slovak business environment and Slovak enterprises.
