IP SCAN: Online Trainings in 2024

IP SCAN: Online Trainings in 2024

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) is preparing an online IP Scan Training course for future IP Scan service providers. The date of the EUIPO IP Scan Training is scheduled for February 28, 2024.

The following online training of the Industrial Property Office of The Slovak Republic (IPO SR), focused on the specifics of providing IP Scan services in Slovakia, will take place on March 12, 2024, and on an alternate date of March 19, 2024.

It is necessary to register for the EUIPO IP Scan Training, as well as for the ÚPV SR training, by February 23, 2024 via the e-mail address ipscan@indprop.gov.sk, indicating the name, surname and contact e-mail address of the lawyer or patent representative.

The IP Scan service can be provided in the Slovak Republic by a Slovak lawyer or a patent attorney who completed the EUIPO online training for IP Scan service providers (IP Scan Training) and at the same time participated in the online training organized by the IPO SR, focused on the specifics of providing IP Scan services in the Slovak Republic. At their request, the IPO SR will issue a Certificate to attorneys and patent attorneys who have completed the above-mentioned trainings and at the same time enter them into the list of IP Scan service providers. The list of IP Scan service providers is published on the IPO SR website. Experience and knowledge in the field of intellectual property protection are a professional prerequisite for performing the activities of an IP Scan service provider. In the event that the provider completed the above-mentioned training during 2023 and is registered in the list of IP Scan service providers maintained by the IPO SR, it is not necessary for the provider to undergo repeated training in 2024.

For further information, we recommend visiting the IP Scan website of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
