Invitation to the International Conference "Why is Mediation Effective for Innovative SMEs?"

The Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO AMC) invite you to the international conference " Why is Mediation Effective for Innovative SMEs?".
National and foreign experts (mediators and arbitrators) in the field of out-of-court national and international disputes will advise you where, when and whom you can contact if you want to avoid lengthy and costly court proceedings considering mediation as a tool to resolve the dispute.
You will learn:
– What mediation services are offered by the WIPO AMC, under what conditions and costs,
– How to become a mediator registered on the international list "List of Neutrals",
– What services does the European Union via EUIPO offers in the area of mediation,
– Best practices on usage of alternative dispute resolution in Slovakia, Czechia, EU countries and Switzerland.
The event will take place on-site (the number of participants is limited) and on line (via ZOOM) in English and Slovak with simultaneous interpretation. The conference is free of charge.
